Scottish highlands cattle feel at home here at our Alpine farmstead located at 1.400 m a.sl. The livestock is constantly growing and working with our frugal and adaptable animals enriches our lives by the day. When staying with us holidaying in Alta Pusteria, you can observe the animals in their usual environment and daily life. Besides highlands cattle at the Gstattlhof we also rear the now rare Pustertaler Schecken or Sprinzen – i.e. mottled cattle, a very able-bodied bovine breed, that almost became extinct during the first half of the 20th century because of adverse circumstances.
