Are you looking for rest, relaxation and tranquility in a rural environment, far from traffic noise, surrounded by the famous Dolomites? Then you are right at the Stauderhof in Braies - South Tyrol. Fam. Stefan Moser would be glad to accommodate you in their farm.
The farm is an old landmark and traditional farmhouse dating from 1434, and one of the oldest farms in the valley. The farm has been owned for generations by the Moser family and was fully restored with great attention to details: old things were preserved and new ones added.
This well-kept and family-friendly farm is idyllically situated on 1270m above sea level on a sunny slope above the village with stunning panoramic views of the Valley and the Dolomites of Braies, at only 12-15 minutes walk from the village center, easily reachable by car in summer and in winter.
The quiet and sunny location surrounded by woods and meadows ensures relax and rest for a leisure time far from the hustle and bustle and makes the farm a recreation paradise for the whole family.
The fantastic view and the homely atmosphere will guarantee you a relaxing stay. The rooms for 2 to 3 people are comfortable and contemporary in style and exude a cozy warmth and comfort.

A lovely place to stay

We visited the Stauderhof in June of 2016 (a family group of 5) and had a wonderful time. The Hof itself is delightful, with ravishing views of the mountains. Its setting is divine--steeply sloping pastures, cows, chickens...
The family is particularly nice, and extremely generous and patient with erring Americans. The food is wonderful.
It is very easy to arrive from here to the starting place of the Alta Via 1 at Lago di Braies. A local bus leaves from the village at the bottom of the hill and takes one right to the inn where the hike begins.
The Stauderhof is a very special place, run by a lovely family. We loved it.
